Another student explains that his desk was put in the storage room to store his desk for graduation and was not to hide evidence. Dr.Araide reveals that the dead student held no grudges when he died.

Episode 361: Teitan High School's Ghost Story (Part 1)

Strange things have been occurring early in the morning at three places in Teitan High. These are attributed to the grudge of a former student, Hideaki Hosaka, who died after falling down stairs two years ago. Later, the dead student's desk if found in the middle of the quad with a threatening note.

Scenario: Sonoko, Ran, and Conan go to the school where they discover the real Dr. Araide is back. He informs Conan of what happened, and told him that Jodie told him to tell him everything. Later, Sonoko rants on about the death of a student terrorizing the school, and tells them stories to support this claim. Later the desk is found outside with a name on it. What's strange is that it's raining, yet, there's no footprints in the mud.

Sonoko, Ran, and Conan go to Teitan High School to investigate mysterious events supposedly caused by the grudge of a dead student named Hideaki Hosaka. Ran and Sonoko greet some friends and introduce Conan to them; the friends tease Conan and Ran by saying Shinichi are Conan rather alike. Conan then runs into the real Dr. Araide, who has returned. He informs Conan of that he had been hiding overseas with his family, and told him that Jodie told him to tell Conan everything. Ran asks Dr. Araide to help investigate the ghost story with them.

Sonoko explains there are three stories showing that the student's ghost is terrorising the school in the early morning hours. The first is that a girl heard the sound of someone sobbing in the sports warehouse where the dead student's desk is stored. After bringing a professor to investigate, the crying had stopped and, no one was found inside. Third year student and Ran's Karate senpai, Kazumi Tsukamoto, interrupts after overhearing the story, saying Hideaki Hosaka fell down a set of stairs and that wind blowing through a small window may account for the sounds heard. Kazumi Tsukamoto notices that it has started raining outside and suggests Ran and company go the library and that she will help with the investigation. On the way, they cross Seko Kunishige who goes to the nurse's office.

In the library, Sonoko relates the second story. Four mornings in a row, books that had been borrowed by Hosaka were found scattered around in the library. Finally, Sonoko and gang go to the stairs that Hosaka died after falling from for the last tale. An unexplained puddle of water formed at the bottom of the stairs, and supposedly the number of steps on the stairs changes. The last part was disproved when Conan notices Sonoko messed up her count. While they were arguing, art student Monobe Masao berates them for being loud.

Ran looks out the window and sees a desk outside that hadn't been there earlier. Conan and Araide run out to investigate. The desk was the one from the sports warehouse, and a weighed down note atop it reads: "My resentment isn't gone yet". Furthermore, Conan notices that although it had been raining, there are no footprints in the mud around the desk, and the desk and the note are dry.

Scenario: The Detective Boys visit a pet shop and find the owner, Minoru Shirai, dead. They find a Rhinoceros beetle and pamphlets of an insect museum at Gunma Prefecture. Takagi drives the Detective Boys to the museum where they learn that a truck load of Rhinoceros beetles were stolen from the van. Conan investigates and realizes Shirai and an accomplice were the thieves and that the accomplice was the murderer.

The Detective Boys saw Minoru's corpse in the pet shop

Deducing from his investigation that the accomplice is one of the employees at the museum, Conan tranquilizes Yamamura and reveals Takashi Ishida to be the culprit. Conan explains that evidence on Shirai's body suggested he was murdered in the van and was strangled by a strap from the museum. As further evidence, Conan reveals that he saw a message from Ishida's phone that proves he was selling the stolen Rhinoceros beetles. Ishida confesses to the murder and explains that Shirai was always insulting him.

Scenario: They confront the golfer and discover he is not the owner of the backpack. Conan investigates the backpack's contents and upon sniffing oil from a rag, reveals the owner to the baseballer. Conan explains that out of the other three athletes, the baseballer uses the oil for his baseball glove. They then search for the baseballer and upon finding him, follow him to the aquatic show. When Sato discovers the baseballer is meeting with Yakura, she attempts to apprehend him. Yakura manages to escape Sato's grip and flees towards the ferris wheel. The fireworks and ferris wheel causes Sato to remember a traumatic moment halting her to a standstill. Conan manages to knock Yakura into the ocean and Takagi's backpack and ring is lost along with it. The police apprehend Yakura and satisfied with Takagi's lost, leaves. Takagi comforts Sato and promises her he will not leave her.

Scenario: Takagi and Sato are on a date at the amusement park. Meanwhile, Shiratori along with several officers are at the amusement park investigating a rumored drug deal involving a dealer in hiding named Asakichi Yakura; At the same time, they intentionally interfere with Takagi's date. Shiratori has one of the officers bring the Detective Boys to the park and puts them in Takagi and Sato's care. Takagi meanwhile plans to present Sato with a ring inside his green backpack and discovers a bag of heroin inside; He realizes he picked up the wrong backpack during the roller coaster ride. They return to the ride and learn from the attendant that no one returned asking for the backpack. Conan discerns the bag's owner was delivering the drugs without knowing what was inside causing Sato to suspect Yakura's involvement. The backpack's strap reveals the owner wears it on his left shoulder suggesting he is left handed, and proceeds to a photo-booth to examine the passengers with them on the roller coaster. The officers meanwhile misunderstand Sato's conversation, believing Kekkon (血痕, lit. Bloodstain) to mean Kekkon (結婚, lit. Marriage) and Heroin to mean Hirōen (披露宴, lit. Reception) and causing them to believe Takagi proposed and allures them to seek out Takagi's backpack with the ring. At the photo booth, the four suspected are a golfer, a baseball player, soccer player, and swimmer. The golfer's writing reveals him to be left handed due to the ink smearing to the right.

Scenario: Ran and Conan run into Sachiko,an acquaintance of Ran's, while shopping. She says she is buying steak and wine for dinner with her lover who's visiting. Ran is impressed that Sachiko has someone she wants to cook for. The next day Ran and Conan find that Sachiko is murdered. Kogoro gets permission to take a look, since Sachiko was a friend of Ran.

Sachiko was about to call the police when she was bludgeoned with a bronze statue. Money and jewels are missing from the apartment.

Everyone suspects Sachiko's lover, who is nowhere to be found. The place has been robbed of money and jewels. But only Sachiko's steak had been eaten and there were no prints besides Sachiko's found on any of the items on the table. Ran can't believe that someone who Sachiko loved would do such a thing remembering how happy Sachiko had seemed the day before. Other odd points comes to light. Why does this lover only visit on 25th every month? Why didn't Sachiko tell her close friend from her school day about him? Why didn't this lover touch his food? All they find out is that the relationship began a year and a half ago, and that Sachiko would be excited when 25th would come around. A witness, who Sachiko had brought wine from, claims to have seen the lover leaving her building, recognizing him from a month ago, and agrees to provide a sketch. Just as Ran is about to give up hoping for the lover's innocent, she starts to realize the truth with hints from Conan. She and Conan questions a friend of Sachiko and thereafter an elder lady. Then they go to Takagi, convinced that the lover isn't the killer.

Episode 356: Kaitou Kid's Miraculous Midair Walk

Scenario: Sonoko's uncle wants to capture Kaito Kid to improve his fame. Kaito Kid arrives on the scene and seemingly walks on air to investigate the treasure he will steal. Conan investigates and finds out the trick Kaito Kid used. The second time Kaito Kid tries to steal the jewel but it was revealed to be a distraction. Kaito Kid steals the jewel from indoors and is making his escape on a motorcycle when Conan is found to be on the passenger seat. Kaito Kid manages to lose Conan and escape once again.

Sonoko's uncle named Jirokichi Suzuki wants to capture Kaitou Kid to improve his fame, by Kaitou Kid to see if he can steal the jewel called, "Blue Wonder", in reality Jirokichi wants to use it as bait. He sent a message to Kid saying, "Attention Kaitou Kid. I challenge you: I've put the priceless artifact Blue Wonder atop my museum in the city. Come and take it if you can." Later, Kaitou Kid accepts Jirokichi's challenge and will steal the Blue Wonder.

That night, Ginzo Nakamori and the police are waiting for Kaitou Kid to come. The helicopters are flying around the museum. Kid arrives on the scene and seemingly walks on air to investigate the treasure he will steal. Conan Edogawa investigates and finds out the trick Kaitou Kid used. The second time Kaitou Kid tried to steal the jewel but it was revealed to be a distraction.

Scenario: The forensic team reveals that Kamoshita was knocked on the head with a shower nozzle knocking him unconscious and was later strangled. While the police are watching a videotape found in Kamoshita's room, Conan notices that the movie ended two minutes earlier than the time indicated on the box and realizes how the murder is done.

Conan tranquilizes Kogoro and uses his voice changing bowtie to impersonate him. Conan reveals that the beauty mark on the murderer was actually a blood stain and that the culprit is revealed to be Toshio Bessho as evidenced by the small blood stain near her collar. Toshio confesses to the murder and explains that she decided to play a joke on Kazuki's production company by threatening to reveal Kazuki's father is a murderer unless they pay her ¥20 million. However, they actually paid her which sparked Kamoshita's investigation. Kamshita upon finding the truth, blackmails Toshio for money which motivated her for murder. The following day, Kazuki gives Tomoka Saegusa a package of post cards and tells her she has to continue to send her monthly post cards or he will visit her again. As Kazuki leaves, Tomoka breaks down in guilt for abandoning her son those many years ago.

Scenario: A seven-year-old movie star by the name of Kazuki Kinukawa comes to the Mori office to try to find his mother who abandoned him at a church. His reasons are to tell his mother he will not give her any money now that he is famous. Conan is able to deduce Kazuki's mother is a hotel employee in Atami due to the old dirty postcards she sent him. Kazuki reveals that he remembered that his mother had a beauty mark near her breast. A freelance writer named Yushiro Kamoshita checks into the hotel as he plans to find Kazuki's mother and interview her to confirm whether Kazuki's father was truly a murderer. Later that day, Kamoshita is strangled to death but managed to take a picture on his cellphone during the attack. The picture reveals that a woman with a beauty mark near her breast is the murderer. The police gather three female employees with no alibi during the time of the murder; Each of them has a beauty mark but none of them are near the breast.

The trio and Kazuki travels to Atami to track down the hotel. They manage to find the hotel that sells the postcards and an employee there comfirms that the leftovers get divided between them. However they don't have one named Atsuko working here, but Kazuki's mother might have use another name. A freelance writer named Yasuhiro Kamoshita checks into the hotel as he plans to find Kazuki's mother and interview her to confirm whether Kazuki's father was truly a murderer. Later that day, Kamoshita is strangled to death but managed to take a picture on his cellphone during the attack.

The investigation reveals that the victim had been approaching the employees one by one and saying 'If you remember the 20 million yens, come to my room. Or else I will reveal everything.' The picture reveals that a woman with a beauty mark near her breast is the murderer. The police gather three female employees with no alibi during the time of the murder; Each of them has a beauty mark but none of them are near the breast. But as they take a closer look at the phone they discover that Kamoshita made a phone call shortly before the murder, around 11:48 PM. They call the number and get a hold of a chief editor Izumiya from 'Weekly Hot'. He explains that Kamoshita had been on the trail of a hot scoop and that the person he was going to interview was taking a shower before the interview.

A woman claiming to be Kazuki's mother claims that his father is a wanted murderer that is still on the run. She demanded 20 million yen from the production company, where Kazuki is working, for her silence. Due to that she could give accurate details on Kazuki, the company decided to pay the money.

The woman with the hot scoop was Atsuko, Kazuki's mother. Kamoshita had gotten wind of that she had contacted Kazuki's production company and blackmailed them for ¥20 million if they didn't want it public that his father was a wanted murderer who is still on the lose. The company paid the money after the woman proved her identity by showing knowledge of Kazuki's birthmark and the name of the church where he was brought up. But no one known the woman's face or her voice, since the communication had been through e-mails. Kamoshita decided to track the woman down and get the whole story from her. He was planning on taking a picture of her with his phone. Conan realized that the reason that the victim kept mentioning 20 million yen to the inn's employers was to scare one of them and find the blackmailer.

During the tournament, they met Ayukawa Saori and Masubuchi Takuya, both participants, and Funaki Toshihiko, a freelance writer. On the second day of the tournament, Funaki was found dead by Ran and Sonoko near the lake. Conan suspected that Ayukawa or Masubuchi is behind the said murder.

Scenario: From the phone company, they confirm the three calls, but they are made from different places. The person's name and address were only asked during the last call, when they heard a loud sound and the call was abruptly cut off. Yumi first calls Beiko station where they are informed of a dangerous looking man in a long coat, who was hesistating to make the call and the loud noise may be the announcements. Yumi then calls the Apollo sports shop, where a crew-cut man whose phone's battery was dead came, and the loud noise might have been the construction noise from outside. The third place is Colombo restaurent, where a regular customer in sunglasses made a call after borrowing change. Here the loud noise turns out to be from the campaign car which is everywhere now-a-days. Yumi asks him to call back when the customer comes back. Conan finds out that most of the numbers are very close to each other, suggesting they might be neighbours. Also the numbers from 1032 to 1100 are missing. Azusa suggests they might infer dates from Oct to Nov. Conan suggests that the phone was placed in a way that would be easy to find it once it rings, which suggests that it was meant to be exchanged with someone. He suggests that the victim might have gotten the place wrong, since he was new to the area, hence he was hurrying. They deduce that the victim might have gotten the store's name wrong, since they were based on detectives. They come to Colombo, and upon asking the owner, they find that customer was asking the owner if he found a lost phone. Conan tranquilizes Richard and reveals the truth.

After some investigation by Conan, Kogoro, and Yumi, there are able to locate the identity of the killed man, as well as the secrets of the cell phone. Conan figures out that the numbers are not real contacts, but are very important pieces of confidential and scandalous information.

Scenario: Richard takes Conan to a restaurant, where the waitress called Azusa, asks for his help to find the owner of a lost cell phone. She tells them that a person called the cell three times, but she feels that it might not be the cell's owner that's calling, since, the first time, he said "Sorry, must be wrong number", the second time "Huh, did you hear anything ring right now?" and the third time, with a completely different tone, "Hey, you're his girl, right? Give back the phone or I'll kill you!". After this, scared, she switched the phone off but she hasn't received any calls after switching it on again. Conan finds that the phone doesn't connect. Azusa tells him that the customer wore glasses, was chubby, with a side-parted hair, and kept playing games on the phone. The first call came after an hour after he left, soon the second one, and the third 30 mins after that. They find that the names and the numbers in the contact list seem to be fake and weird things about them: some names have a dot after them and some don't; the first names are in katana and the surnames in kanji; the numbers are 10 digits starting with 1. She also tells them the phone was left under a seat, with the antenna still out, and she found it only because it rang. The serial number sticker on the phone is torn off. Also, the customer asked for many food items, which amounted to exactly 3000 yen and asked for a receipt without giving his name. Inspector Yumi comes asking for Richard's help, saying the person with the receipt had died the day before in an accident. She also tells them that the man was hit by the truck, which was neither speeding, nor had a drunk driver, when he was crossing the street, hurrying to a store named Poirot. He also carried a lot of receipts on him from stores all around. Conan suggests finding the name and address of the victim and the id of the caller from the telephone company.

While Kogoro and Conan were taking break in a coffee shop below the Detective Agency, Azusa Enomoto asked for Kogoro's help. A customer left his cellphone two days ago and Azusa wanted to return it. While searching for clues about the customer's whereabouts, Yumi, a police officer, came and they found out that they were investigating about the same person. They later found out that the man they were looking for died in a car accident.

Scenario: The owner is taken to the hospital. Kogoro is requested to investigate the case. Even as Kogoro starts his wronog deductions, the kids continue investigating, and find that the road where the knife was leads to an end, meaning that the criminal is someone from the village or one of the tourists. The next day, the kids start searching for whatever the criminal was searching for in the attic. Ai observes that they can clearly see the place where the owner, Nagakura, was attacked last night, which means that even the owner could see who was in the attic. Conan rushes to the place and finds a lacquer tree there, which was the reason the owner fainted. They see the rude tourist, Kawaji, being surrounded by villagers and Ai tells them that Nagakura was part of a group that was for registering the village as a World Heritage (but there was also another group against it). Kawaji is a World Heritage inspector who came to determine whether the village should be a World Heritage, but he accepted bribes from various villages and also asked some from Nagakura. Kawaji is arrested as a suspect since his house was right where Nagakura had passed out. The kids come to know from the inspector that the Nagakura and the Otozawa's houses were exchanged, and that their places were exchanged. Conan searches the attic of the abandoned house and finds the stolen jewels. That night, the kids then hide in the attic and wait for the criminal. The criminal turns out to be Sakaki, the missing jewel appriser. He had forced Eiji, who was in debt, to help him in the robbery and had also killed the guard and later Eiji, to hide his own crime. With the gathered evidences, the Detective Boys confronted the true culprit.

Episode 348: Love, a Ghost, and a World's Inheritance (Part 1)

Scenario: Kogoro, Ran, Conan, Haibara, and the Detective Boys are visiting an old-fashioned village, that has a very dark past. While there, a man is nearly murdered, and by his body was a ghost. Is there a trick to this murder case, and could the murder have anything to do with the village's dark past? Also, who was the ghost?

Several priceless jewels were stolen from the city near Onizawa Village.

Based on Professor Agasa's research, a robbery happened near the village and the prime suspect is Eiji Nagakura. Eiji committed suicide according to the report.

One month ago, Eiji Nagakura committed suicide due to that he have been framed as a murderer.

Ran, Conan and Kogoro with the Detective Kids arrive at an inn. There they meet another tourist group and a very rude man (who eventually leaves to another inn). During dinner the owner gets angry reading an article which says the inn is haunted and that's why it's popular. Later, the kids leave to search for the ghost, not before Conan sees the owner's wife sobbing outside. They join the townspeople patrolling, when Ayumi sees a girl calling her and is lost. Everyone searches for her and she's found unconscious beside a tree. When she says that she saw a girl, the inn landlady tells her that the girl's name is Mami, who believed in Eiji's innocence. But the inn owner says that's impossible since they dies 10 years ago! He angrily denies Eiji being his son and says they are all putting up a show. The Detective Kids decide to investigate. They find out the Mami's home, but its abandoned. They also find out from Agasa that Eiji committed suicide, before which he was suspected for jewellery theft, due to fingerprints left at the scene of crime. Ayumi takes them to the place she saw Mami disappearing, and they find a piece of new cloth there. At night, they catch a person at the top of the inn and when the owner tries to stop him from escaping, he plunges him with a knife and escapes. Just then they hear Ran's scream, and they see Mami's ghost near the knife.

Scenario: The investigation led to three suspects, all three have that model of car, do not have an alibi for the time of the attack and said they had lost the original key (the culprit can not produce data that may be bloody) . Ayumi would like to see up close the three suspects but it is not recommended for her because of possible revenge from the offender in the case were released for lack of evidence. After several investigations Conan discover who is guilty and has used that trick to make sure that they could not be found traces of blood on the lock of the car. Later, the man confessed to assaulting people just to get some evil reputation and experience strong emotions. Eventually, the boys ask to Ayumi if he was afraid but she responded in the negative: he knew that Conan and the others would always be with you. After hearing those words, Ai runs from Jodie and announced that she had decided to reject the witness protection program. Jodie realizes how she feels and wishes her good luck.

The suspects have been narrowed to three people: Hiroshi Enomoto, Naokazu Fukuchi, and Toshiaki Degawa. Ayumi iss willing to face the suspects to find out who is the phantom killer, but Haibara objects to that plan due to concern for Ayumi's safety. Haibara explains to her how the culprit would bear a grudge on her if she places the culprit in that kind of predicament and how he may also seek revenge if he is acquitted due to a lack of evidence. As a precaution, Ayumi and the others would instead watch the suspects from afar in a car with smoked glass to prevent such an outcome.

Episode 346: Find the Buttocks' Mark! (Part 1)

A phantom killer dressed in a gray raincoat has been randomly slashing civilians. His face wasn't seen by the victim for his face was covered with a hat and hood.

Scenario: Conan and Haibara, along with the other Detective Kids, are walking home from school discussing the previous event that occurred, meanwhile Ran and Sonoko visit Jodie who is in the hospital recovering from her injury. Jodie explains to Ran and Sonoko that she is a FBI agent and tells them a makeshift story to hide the fact that Haibara's life is in danger. Afterwards, Jodie's superior comes in and they talk about getting Haibara in the witness protection program. As Ayumi left the rest to go home, she ran into the Phantom Killer, but with many witnesses around, he fled the scene. The only clue is the mark on Ayumi's hand from the item that the culprit dropped on the ground and quickly retrieved. It is later discovered to be the symbol of a car brand as the same mark was also imprinted on Genta's rear end as he sat on Satou's car.

After the confrontation with Black Organization, Jodie Starling offers Ai Haibara to join the Witness Protection Program, which allows Haibara to escape the Black Organization by faking her name and cutting ties with her friends.

One rainy on the way from school, Ayumi collides with an escaping phantom killer and she isn't able see the face of the killer, due to him being concealed with a hat and hood. The phantom killer fells upon colliding with Ayumi and drops his knife he used for a recent slasher attack. Once the phantom killer gets up, he faced Ayumi and reaches out to her. Ayumi screams in fear of harm, but he only picks up a small object from the ground and then flees the scene afterwards. A clue is left behind when Ayumi realizes a mark on her hand that resembles a number 5.

Ayumi and the Detective Boys are taken to the police department to provide information regarding the phantom killer, but the only thing provided was that the phantom killer was a man through Ayumi hearing his voice, but that provided little help. With Detective Sato they all returned to the scene of the crime and found out the mark left on Ayumi was of a car brand. Genta was also found with the symbol on his butt from sitting on Detective Sato's car logo. With this added information, the culprit has been narrowed down to those with cars of the same mark.

Scenario: Richard receives an invitation to a Halloween cruise; the Halloween cruise is famous for hiring guests to star in a horror film. Conan receives the same invitation from Vermouth; the invitation however is addressed to Conan Edogawa and Jimmy Kudo, meaning Vermouth knows his true identity. During the cruise, the party members are divided into groups with team devil consisting of Richard, Serena, and people disguised as a werewolf, a mummy, a medusa, a Frankenstein Monster, and an invisible man. During the party, the host is shot by a crossbow, and attached to the arrow is a card from team devil. The Mummy is the prime suspect since he lacks an alibi and his card is missing. The invisible man gathers the party guests to the bow of the boat and reveals his identity as Jimmy and declares the werewolf as the murderer. He reveals that the werewolf placed his mask on the Mummy to establish his own alibi, evidenced when the Werewolf came out of the Mummy's bathroom stall. To support this, Jimmy points to the fact that the Werewolf claimed he was busy concentrating on staying in character so he could be hired to star in the movie, yet he was drinking a dry Martini, also known as a silver bullet and thus disproves his lie. As evidence, Jimmy reveals that there was glass shards on the balcony where the host was killed and that there should be glass shards embedded in the soles of the Werewolf's shoes. The Werewolf confesses and reveals that Vermouth held his family hostage and blackmailed him to murder the host. Elsewhere, Haibara is picked up by Jodie while they are stalked by Dr Araide. Jodie confronts Araide at the pier who reveals that he is Vermouth in disguise. Back at the party, Jimmy Kudo is revealed to be Harley Hartwell in disguise; this was done to distract Vermouth from noticing Conan's absence. Haibara is revealed to be Conan in disguise, and he attempts to subdue Vermouth. However, the real Haibara arrives at the pier and is narrowly saved from death by Rachael's timely appearance. Shuichi Akai's appearance prompts Vermouth to take Conan hostage and flee the scene. Conan reveals to Vermouth he has a covert listening device on him that will send everything that was said to the authorities in the event of his death. Vermouth uses sleeping gas on Conan and tells him she will postpone her plan for murdering Haibara for now. Conan awakens to find out the device has been destroyed and no evidence of the Black Organization remain.

The Haunted Ghost Captain was shot with a crossbow pierced by the devil's card while in the crow's nest of the ship.

Scenario: Sonoko invites Ran and Conan to attend a wedding between Shinya Ooga and Akane Katori at the Huis Ten Bosch. On the way there, the three meet a glass artisan named Junichi Takahashi who accompanies them to the Huis Ten Bosch to the glass museum. Shinya's grandmother, Tae Ooga, impressed by Takahashi's knowledge on glass invites him to dinner with the Ooga family. That night, Shinya's parents offer Akane an heirloom wedding ring for the wedding and invite Takahashi to attend the wedding. Before the wedding begins, the ring is found missing and in its place is a picture of Akane with Hydrangea Otakusas in the background.

Conan realizes that the flower refers to Philipp Franz von Siebold's Japanese wife, Taki (滝, lit. Waterfall) and finds the ring on a flowing fountain depicting the ending to Greek mythology Cupid and Psyche. Conan soon learns that Akane has been kidnapped and finds her in a carillon in the amusement park.

She reveals that Takahashi plans to kill her grandmother-in-law by using bombs in her blimp. Conan manages to incapacitate Takahashi before he detonates the explosives. As Shinya's whole family gathers to the scene, Conan tranquilizes Sonoko and explains that Shinya's sister, Mika Ooga, and grandmother hid the ring to test Akane's resolve, evidenced by where the ring was found and how the situation relates to the Greek mythology.

Conan then reveals that Takahashi was trying to avenge his teacher, Akane's father, by murdering Tae. Takahashi regains consciousness and explains Akane's father committed suicide when the Ooga's family bank ordered him to pay back the money he burrowed. Shinya's uncle reveals that they had delayed Akane's father's debt for a year and that the money needed to make the glass was more than the profit when selling them which furthered Akane's father's debt.

Tae is in danger from falling rock, but Shinya get protect his grandmother.

Takahashi, realizing the Ooga are not to blame collapses in grief. After the wedding, Ran receives the thrown bouquet which causes Conan to run away from the wedding.

The episode ended with Conan saying that Ai's mother was a true angel.

They then decided to first have lunch at a nearby shopping mall. At the car park of the shopping mall, they spot four porsches, with a drunk man sleeping in one of them. Later, Conan and Agasa meet Ran, Sonoko and Jodie at a restaurant while Ai rested in Agasa's car. Conan noticed Jodie's suspicions when she heard Ran mention Ai. He was then interviewed by a TV crew and decided to return to the car and bring Ai away as he knew he could have been spotted by people from the Organization through television. However, when he returned to the car park, the man in the Porsche was found dead, and Conan has to solve the case.

Scenario: Mouri and Conan are on their way home when they witness a struggle between two men over a backpack. Later, one of the men fell off the building and died. The police question the other man named Sanben. He said that his backpack was stolen while he was in the washroom, and he was trying to retrieve it from the other man, Kurin.

However, the accident turned out to be a murder made to look like an accident. Sanben's motive was revenge for his girlfriend, whose death was supposedly caused by her dashing across the road, but was actually caused by the drunk Kurin whose car ran over her.

Scenario: The police investigate and find that Furumura's camera was turned on during the attack and reveals no suspicious sound was made. While the police suspect Akira to be the murderer, it is revealed the Akira and his two fellow employees have motives on murderer Furumura; Furumura ruined their previous film due to his careless handling of the negatives causing them a great loss in money to re-film the ruined sections.

Conan calls Agasa over to reveal Akira as the murderer and to reveal Furumura's missing third shirt button had an important role in the murder. Later that day, the culprit returns to Akira's apartment to return the missing button. The police and Agasa appear revealing it was a set up to reveal the culprit to be the employee Yoshikiko Negami. Conan using his voice changing bow-tie voices through Agasa that Yoshikiko using fluorescent tape was able to cross the messy room quietly and with fluorescent paint covering Furumura's third button, was able to stab him in the heart. Yoshikiko confesses and reveals that the parts of the film Furumura ruined could never be re-filmed as one of the main side actors died. When the black car stalking them passes by, Conan reveals to Haibara he called Takagi to give the stalkers test on their blood alcohol content. Since the stalker is smoking, it means they lost track of them.

Scenario: Yukiko brings Conan, Ai and the detective boys to watch a Kamen Yaiba movie preview. Once there, they find out the movie has been delayed to later that night. Yukiko having to leave to catch her flight to America, leaves the kids in the care of Akira Hojima, one of the four employees of the Kamen Yaiba film. Before leaving, Yukiko tells Conan to be careful of the black car that has been following them. Akira takes the kids to his apartments near the studio and invites his fellow employees to a game of Mahjong. While everyone is asleep, they are awakened by a scream and find the salesman Furumura Norihiro murdered with a knife. Conan wonders how the murder was done in an impossible to see darkness without making a sound in a messy room.

Scenario: Conan investigates and realizes who the murderer is after receiving a hint from his father. Conan reveals the murderer to be the butler, Shouhachi Ueki. Conan reveals that Fujieda was drugged with Isoprenaline causing him to be stunned and dazed when he stood up to stretch causing them to believe that the culprit was in the room at the time of the murder. Conan explains that Fijieda was shot from outside the room. As evidence, Conan reveals that the coffee the butler served should contain traces of Isoprenaline and that the butler should have the silencer in him. Ueki confesses and reveals he murdered his Fujieda in order to preserve the garden his former master worked so hard to build. At the Mouri agency, Yukiko and Eri ask Kogoro who he voted for their high-school pageant. Kogoro reveals he voted by Eri since he thought Miss Teitan meant mistake and that it was a mistake for Eri to have entered the competition.

Scenario: Kogoro is hired by a rich man named Mikio Fujieda to find out who wants to kill him and had been promised ¥10 million after solving the case. Kogoro however spends ¥8 million and is unable to solve the case. Ran decides to call her mother, Eri Kisaki, to help solve the mystery. Conan, Ran, and Eri head to Fujieda's mansion to investigate only to run into Conan's mother, Yukiko who is investigating the mystery in place of her husband Yusaku. The two mothers reminiscence about a high-school pageant and how it ended in a tie due to a person not handing in their ballet. Ran reveals that Kogoro has an unhanded ballet from the contest which sparks the interest of the two. Later that night, Fujieda is caught on a camera after being shot.
