Episode 919: The High School Girl Trio's Secret Café (Part One)

Scenario: Kogoro and Conan notices that Ran has behave strangely. Kogoro suspects that Shinichi is seducing Ran, and while Conan knows that it can't be the case, they decide to follow her. They see Ran, Sonoko and Masumi who are having some lunch at Café Rice Flower, all the while marvelling at the pictures of a travel guide about a trip to Kyoto.

As Ran was going to reveal what was the trip to kyoto, the restaurant's customers and employees hear the sound of Isuzu Naomura yelling. They hurry to the locker room and find Daiki dead.

Episode 918: The Mini Patrol Car Police's Big Chase

Scenario: The Detective Boys went to an eel warehouse's exhibit where there was a huge country fair at Genta's recommendation. Professor Agasa had asked them to bring some eels back so he'll cook them but, at the fair, Genta goes to the washroom and disappears. The Detective Boys search for him until they go to the loading deck and see Genta in a van gagged and attached by two mysterious kidnappers. They run after it and just got by Yumi and Naeko's mini-patrol car and tell them to follow the truck since Genta is inside and has been kidnapped. Luckily, they are able to follow the truck with Conan's criminal tracking glasses and Genta's detective boys' badge. They were almost at the car's location when they found out it was stuck in a traffic jam. Yumi decides to use her megaphone to make all the cars move and then yells from her location to the kidnappers who understand they were followed and run away with the van with the mini-car chasing after not far away but, at a railway crossing, they get separated from the van so Conan uses his badge to contact Genta who had taken off the tape covering his mouth but, the kidnappers heard their conversation and break Genta's badge.

As Genta went to the toilets of the exhibit, he witnessed the two kidnappers discussing and since he heard important clues, they kidnapped him.

They then think of a way to cut them off at their transactions' location place since they heard the kidnappers were in fact diamond sellers that made an illegal deal at the eel exhibit and that they'd conclude the deal at the harbor since the last known location of their car was towards the harbor before they lost track of them. They needed to do it quickly and save Genta since the kidnappers planned to kill Genta after the transaction. Conan then remembers the kidnappers were communicating in the exhibit using hand signs. Mitsuhiko thinks of the signs' meaning being a gun since they pointed towards a third member of the group, Shintaro Horikawa (probably the boss), with their thumb and their index finger. He remembers back the case of the counting system (burning tent case) and Haibara talking about the english counting system. Mitsuhiko then start another deduction and think about it being the european system so the fingers should be making "two" and "one" which means they were probably heading to warehouse 21 of the harbor. Still, as they were heading towards this direction, Conan was intrigued and thought something was wrong about the counting system thing.

Scenario: During the lunch break of the National High School Spring Kendo Tournament Heiji is attending, referee Nukitani has his throat slashed, and Nenji, Tsuneyuki, and Akane, who were in the bathroom near the crime scene, are the three suspects in the case. Detective Sato examines their belongings, but she's unable to find the box cutter that is the murder weapon. Based on the suspects' possessions, new testimony from Katsunari, the blind old man at the crime scene, the kendo uniform worn by the culprit, and information from the forensics team, Heiji determines who killed Nukitani and what they used to kill him

Akane confesses wanting to prank Shido since she resented him but didn't want to kill him.

Episode 916: Kendo Tournament of Love and Mystery (Part One)

Scenario: Conan, Ran and Kazuha came to Toto Stadium, Tokyo, to watch Heiji's important kendo competition. As Heiji wins a fight with verve, his rival follows him closely behind : Soshi Okita, Shinichi's lookalike he met during a previous case. Heiji says to himself he can't but get even with Okita today, he has to win, for Kazuha. Meanwhile, Momiji and Iori are on the phone, Iori informing Momiji of Heiji's high rankings in the competition, while Momiji asks him if everything is ready for the "little party" after Heiji's victory. Iori adds Heiji may confront Okita and another kendo practitioner, "as strong as a demon".

Nukitani swallows some digestion medicine as a Kyoto Senshin kendo student comes up to him. Nukitani says he expected someone to come along, as this garden serves as a training pitch for kendo fighters during pauses, and adds "he'd better not to do it for now, and not to damage the place". Suddenly, the kendo student grabs his sabre and slits Nukitani's thorat in one blow, in a flash, without him being just able to react. The murderer then turns around in fear as an old man sitting on a bench behind him says he heard a voice and asks if there's anyone around that could tell him what's happening. The murderer realises the old man is blind and spares his life, leaving the place.

Conan suggests they call the police and keep an eye on the bathroom, as the murderer may still be armed and has an accomplice. Conan is joined by a high school kendo practitioner he thought was Heiji but actually is Okita, who says Nukitani's absence of struggling reminds him of tsujigiris (wanton murders of random passers-by by samurais in the past, when they wanted to try out a new sabre's efficiency). He adds the sabre's blow was deadly, perfect and neat, the work of an expert. Okita introduces himself to Conan, saying he's from Kyoto Senshin kendo club - just like the murderer, something Conan is ignorant of.

Episode 915: High School Girl Detective Suzuki Sonoko

Scenario: While stargazing at a playground, Sonoko directs her binoculars towards the city and witnesses someone lifting an arm in the shadow of a flowerbed. Sonoko brings Conan and Ran with her to investigate the scene of the alleged crime. The flowerbed is located in front of Sasaki Studio, and Sonoko explains the situation to studio director Hiroto and his assistant Rika. Hiroto believes Sonoko saw the arm of a mannequin. Sonoko and her friends decide to investigate the Yoshimura building next door, which has the same flowerbeds on its roof. Since Yoshimura is away on a business trip, they try to speak with his wife Nanae, but they're unable to find her

On a starry night of summer, Sonoko, Ran, and Conan are stargazing to find the milky way and the north star when, through her binoculars, Sonoko seemingly witnesses a human's corpse's hand which was lying in the flowerbed. Astonished, she tries to find the place where the corpse was to unmask the criminal. Arrived to the place where she thought the body in the flowerbed was, Sonoko quickly points out that the owner of the building, Hiroto Sasaki, is the culprit to which he says he isn't and that he couldn't be the possible murderer since it wouldn't be possible that she saw the house from the top of the slide. He then suggest they take a rest in his house and production studios. They are served fresh coffee by his assistant Rika Minakami. Then, Sasaki shows her a mannequin arm to ask if it was the arm she saw. She replies by the negative and just then, Sasaki remembers that the house behind his has the same flowerbed but this time, on the rooftop where she could easily have seen it. He says that his house had been larger but he conceded part of his land to his friend Yoshimura who built the house. Yoshimura was Sasaki's college friend just like his wife Nanae. He was the one who had done both flowerbeds since he is a home and garden scape artist. Sasaki then calls his friend to ask him if he could go to his house since Yoshimura was out on business and her wife didn't seem to asnwer the doorbell to which Yoshimura accepts. Since Sasaki had a spare key of the Yoshimura building, the entered and call for Nanae but no one answered. They went to the rooftop but Sonoko found out the earth was not deep enough so a body could be buried. She concludes that the body must have been hidden in the house but everyone (including Conan) just finds her really weird. As the search was finished, Sasaki gets angry and ask them to leave his friend's house since they just wasted his time. They excuse themselves and leave to take a snack at a nearby cafe. Sonoko then headed home alone but saw a ring through a jewelry store window. She then remembered seeing a hand taking off a wedding ring from the body's hand and that it was surely a body since mannequins don't wear rings. She then accidentally pushed the jewelry employee that was folding a panel while she was thinking that Sasaki must have been the culprit since he got angry each time they mentionned a body and was wondering where could it have been hidden. She then tries to put the panel back but put it backwards and then corrects her mistake. She then finds out the truth and yells while running on the streets which scares the employee. At the same time, as Conan walks with Ran, Ran ask Conan if he was thinking about Sonoko. She tells that it would've been easier to find the truth if there was a bridge connecting both houses. Right then, Conan remembers that there was a bridge since when the moon passed upon Sasaki calling his friend, he saw the shadow of a bridge and finds the truth too. He then tells her to run because he found the truth behind the case.

Iwao was found culpable of the robbery by Kogoro who called the police to arrest him but he managed to flee. Tokuro Utsumi remains in an unknown place.

After having encountered Conan, he grabs him and threathens to blow him up like tomato juice if they don't let him flee. He then manages to escape via the back door with his Mustang and exits the row of storage hangars.

Tokuro had been hired to kill Iwao for less than half of the share. He posted himself in the chimney ready to shoot him through his scope but he missed and lost grip.

Having been hired to kill Takatori, Utsumi hid in the chimney ready to shoot Takatori but fell since he lost balance.

After Conan had aided Takatori in retrieving the fallen gems inside the chimney, he bound him and drove into the city, where he pushed him out of the car and into the median of a busy street.

The police look into the alibis of Higashio, Nishiyama, Kitasono's wife Kinuko, and housekeeper Shizu. Conan and friends return to Lake Okuho with Detective Takagi.

One of Kitasono's apprentice found him dead as he went to visit him in the afternoon.

At the same time, Ryuji has knocked an elder unconscious twice before putting a mess in her house and robbing 500,000 Yen.

A suspected fire occurred and fire fighters were sent there to find there wasn't any fire.

Scenario: Kuroda is sitting at his desk looking at the details of the case from seventeen years ago, thinking deeply about Kohji Haneda and Rumi Wakasa. Shiratori advises him to take a holiday and go camping for a few days. Rumi takes the Detective Boys camping as well. They end up talking with some other campers, who are members of a basketball team. One of them, Danno, had a recent irreversible eye injury and now wears a prosthetic eye, frightening Conan and Haibara who try to figure out if Rumi has a prosthetic eye as well and could be Rum. Urushibara, one of the campers they meet, suddenly starts speaking and acting in a very obnoxious manner to his friends, and shuts himself away in their tent. Soon after, a fire starts in the tent and he gets burned to death. They try to put it out and save Urushibara, to no avail. As they call the police and Inspector Yuminaga turns up, they are surprised to find in a nearby teepee tent another camper, who is revealed to be Kuroda.

Even if it isn't used presently, it used to irrigate the nearby rice field and is now used as a natural icehouse where they make ice for the guests. As they are explained details of the park by the clerk, a group of three graduates who recognize Kogoro Mouri as the great detective. they then take selfies at the riverside to immortalize the moment. They then planned to organize different activities but the fun is quickly interrupted by a tragic event.

Kogoro and Conan encounter the Friendship-related Murder Case. Can they solve it for good?

From their table, they distinguished her body floating in the river stream and Kogoro swam to get her and the verdict was sure: she was dead. Will the great detective impress the scholars and find the truth?

Scenario: The case first starts in an office where two suspicious men are gambling and watching results on a computer. The first man says, "They are taking it in right from the start", and the other replies with an affirmative. That first man continues by telling "The Japanese will understand what gambling is all about". As they watch results, the game then comes at 8-2. The second man asks if they should proceed with buying, and the first man says that it is being taken care of.

The two men that were in that office were doing illegal gambling which is severely punished in Japan since it never happened in the J-League.

After this scene, the boss of the J League is talking to one of his employee Yasuaki Iwasada telling that Japan performance at the World Cup was disappointing with in background a poster of all-star J-League players written "The Second Half of the J League Starts Now!!".

Kogoro couldn't kick the ball in the penalty match since he suddenly felt pain in his stomach. He was then hurried to the infirmary.

After hearing a loud sound, the group head towards Minakitaya's room and found him dead beside his bed with a gush of blood coming out from his head. As a dying message, he left a weird symbol of the "Masked Comet", a superhero.

Episode 905: Eyewitness Testimony Seven Years Later (Part One)

Scenario: Seven years ago, a little girl was walking in Haido city when she witnessed a murder in a backstreet. Two people disguised as superheroes had killed a man and took his money. Suddenly, the two men saw her and approached her.

The criminals killed a man in the street and took an attaché-case containing the money.

On a beautiful morning, Conan, Kogoro and Ran arrive at the Nishiokuho train station after a long trip. Kogoro planned to take them to Hatobue, a guest house, to spend some vacations. As Ran tells him he had a pretty cool idea, a pamphlet drops out from his pouch and Conan notices a publicity about there being a big variety of beers and that the Prince of Beer Minakitaya Otaro is staying there. Ran and Conan are then exhausted by the reason why he came there. Has they are waiting, Kogoro tells them Minakitaya had been part of the comedy duo Minakitaya Otaro and Kyujiro but another man arrives, Masanari Ide, and adds that the group dissolved due to Kyujiro doing an act of violence 3 years ago. Both four then hear the loud yelling of Hiroko Fujiyoshi, who also came there to go the guest house and that embraces Kogoro Mouri since she is a fan of him. The five are waiting until the shuttle arrives and the driver presents himself as Shinsuke Ohara, employee of the lodge. They all enter the shuttle accompanied by a sixth guest, Toru Shirogane, who enters the shuttle too. After a twenty minute ride to the lodge, they finally arrive there. Two people were arguing there, the lodge owner and another mysterious man who quickly left the lodge when the others arrived. The guests hop off the shuttle and are greeted by Asako Yuri, the lodge owner. She redirects them to the living room where Miona Yuri, the lodge owner's daughter is there. They sit and discuss Cow Magnets, objects used to retrieve the metal stuck in cows' bellies and that could be used as a game of magnetism until Otaro arrives. Everybody is impressed. Hiroko literally freaks out at his glance and jumps in front of him brandishing her autograph book for him to sign it. He happily signs it and Hiroko go brag about it to the group.

A bit later, the lodge owners served fresh-made tea to the guests while Hiroko ask why did Minakitaya come her often. He answers her by saying there is a huge selection of beers and that the air is calm and clean so he comes there once a month. At the same time, the hosts are cutting their baumkuchen to be served to the guests and Fujiyoshi asks Ide what's the logo he has on his shirt. As he answers it is the masked comet Byun's logo, Miona shivers and almost drop her plates. Ide continues by saying it was a popular hero show that aired seven years ago and that it was about a hero who fights to protect the Earth from the Hell's demon King Dyark and his quest for world domination. Byun was once one of the demon's henchmen but was touched by the kindness of an earthling girl and decide to reforms itself and defend the planet. Hiroko adds that the show was canceled and Ide sighs as he says it was at the show's climax. Toru replies by saying that the show's ratings were terrible and Ide, without noticing his comments says that it was pretty cool and retrieves a mask from his bag and wears it by performing an act Byun did but hears the sound of loud plates breaking on the ground. Miona had fell due to an unknown shock and his mom hurries to make her cool down. After a good glass of water, she gets refreshed and Shinsuke decide to start preparing dinner. Everybody had free time until 6 so Fujiyoshi decides to invite Ran, Conan and Miona to take a walk and be familiar of the surroundings. Kogoro decides to sleep in his room until dinner starts, Ide passes too and Toru was going to read his book. Minakitaya is going to pass too since he needs to call his manager. Before leaving, Conan notices an old newspaper cut showing a robbery and murder in Haido city and that the culprits were still at large and decides to give it back to Shirogane who had lost it. Furiously, Toru grabs back the paper as Conan leaves puzzled by his weird attitude. As the group of walkers pass by the parking, Hiroko notices the Corvette of Minakitaya and tells that's it's his third car (the first being a light truck and the 2nd a sedan). Not far from there, in an abandoned lake forensics officer are canvassing the area in search of potential evidences in inflatable boats. Assistant-inspector Muramatsu and his assistant have found a body of an unknown man who seems to have been drowned. With a lot of belongings, nothing seemed to point out who he was. The only possible evidence was a weird superhero card which his assistant points out was from This Incident.

As Makoto Muramatsu returns home, he is called to a scene where police officers had found a corpse. After investigations, he head to the lodge since he deduced his death must have been related to the guests of the lodge.

Back at the guest house, the prized guests are preparing to eat dinner with an appetizer drink that Shinsuke is brandishing: an inviting fruit beer. Perplexed, Kogoro asks what's a fruit beer and Minakitaya says it to be made in Belgium since ages ago with fruits like raspberries and cherries. Everyone is pleased with its aroma of citron which makes people feel the unique taste and refreshing smell of the fruit. They all toast for today's meeting. Kanpai! (cheers). They are next served a pilsner, really popular among Japanese people. As Otaro says, they have a good balance of flavor, bitterness and aroma. The third beer is an IPA (Indian Pale Ale), a beer with intense bitterness which is one of Otaro's favorites. Since they aren't adults, Ran and Conan are flavoring fruit juices, soups and a delicious swiss-styled squeegee with delightful meat. Next is a porter beer, an English beer with an intense smell or roasted malt which compliments the meat's flavor. All guests then hurry themselves to the terrace where they enjoy an unusual beer for dessert. A beer which doesn't look like beer for its color but definitly is beer when it comes to its not too bitter taste and crisp flavor. The reason of its unusual look is because it is dyed with gardenias. Ran, Conan and Miona are playing the cow magnets game and she loses but the Nishiokuho police enter in the building and direct themselves to the terrace. Both of the detectives (Muramatsu and his assistant) show their police cards and his assistant remarks Kogoro Mouri, the famous detective is here. Asako gets angry and ask Muramtsu to get out if it's about the case. With a little nod of the head, Muramatsu and his assistant tell that earlier at approximately 5 pm, a body was found near the lake behind the guest house and that since the river flowing by the house is connected to the lake, there was probably a connection to the guests of the house. Since they didn't have any identity of him, they showed a picture of the deceased who remembered Asako of a client who went there two months ago. They head inside the living room and start checking the records until they find the right person, Sujiro Kitamoto. Astonished, Otaro gets up of his chair and yell if that was true. He goes with the detectives who ask if he was Minakitaya Otaro. Desperate, he tells them that even if he changed on the picture, the man was probably Kyujiro, his past comedy duo member.

Episode 901: Lawyer Kisaki's SOS (Part One)

Scenario: Ran is excited to watch a movie with her parents after a long time. However, Kogoro is reluctant to the idea since it stars Yoko Okino as a lawyer who saves her boyfriend who is a detective from a false accusation, a plot similar to one that actually happened with Kogoro and Eri. In the end of the movie, the detective clings to his girlfriend and says some cheesy lines, much to the annoyance of Kogoro. He is sure that the premium seat tickets Eri sent him is because she is going to tell him at the end of the movie to reflect on his mistakes like the detective boyfriend. While they argue, Ran receives a friend request on her messaging app from Eri and accepts it. A while later Eri messages Ran saying that he has been kidnapped and to inform the police. However, the impostor who was added to the group by Ran a while ago negates her statements saying that she was only joking. During the chaos, they are unable to identify who the real Eri is.

Two hours earlier, Eri is seen talking to Midori about the movie Ran is pestering her to see with Kogoro and that she doesn't want her stomach to growl during the movie since it will embarrass her in front of Kogoro. Midori teases her that it does not matter when her stomach growls in front of her clients, but when it's her ex-husband, she is extra careful to present her at her best. Eri is speechless and embarrassed, that is when there is a knock on the door. After Midori opens the door, the kidnappers stupefy her and Eri, and then kidnap Eri in a case. On reaching the location, one of the kidnappers sees blood flowing out of the case. When he tries to open it, Eri jerks out of the case and knocks him out. Seeing no way of escape, she takes the kidnapper's phone and goes to hiding.

Scenario: Kogoro is asked to investigate a threatening phone call and an attempt to murder Toichiro Azuma by his secretary, Haruhiko Kasai. Having investigated the list of possible suspects that hold resentment towards Azuma for his underhanded business practices, Kogoro calls the suspects along with Azuma and his secretary to reveal the true culprit.
