The next day when Conan and the Detective Boys arrived at her house to get the jacket they met Kanae's friend Tomoko and see Matsunosuke in his dog house, asleep.

After realizing Matsunosuke is unconscious from being drugged, Conan ran back into the house to find Kanae dead.

Scenario: Since Kataoka is the big fan of Mouri, the crew got invited to Kataoka's house. While all the people got gathered in the garden, Kataoka, disguised as 'Kaito K', insisted Mouri and others to find him as a seeker during the hide and seek in his house. After hearing Kataoka scream, Conan, Ran, and Seiya head in the direction of the sound to find Sada holding the deceased Kataoka. It appears Kataoka died after receiving blunt force trauma from falling off a ladder.

Kogoro, Ran and Conan are invited by Eisuke Kataoka, a property tycoon and Kogoro's fan, when they arrives, Kataoka is dressed like a bandit and challenges Kogoro to chase him, but when he was searching him with Kataoka's butler, they hear a scream. And later his son and his second wife discover him lying on the floor after falling of a ladder.

After hearing Kataoka scream, Conan, Ran, and Seiya head in the direction of the sound to find Sada holding the deceased Kataoka. It appears Kataoka died after receiving blunt force trauma from falling off a ladder.

Scenario: A client named Kaori Kitasaka asks Kogoro for help to decode the location in an invitation. Before she leaves, she gives Kogoro her home and cellphone number. After realizing he has deduced and given her the wrong location, Kogoro tries calling her home number but realize she gave him a fake number. Kogoro call her cellphone number and she picks up. Kogoro gives her the correct location, Bell Tree Tower, to Kaori.

Conan finds her suspicious and figures out Kaori's real home phone number then calls it. He's surprised when Sato begins talking to him on the phone and the group discovers that a gun (Nambu Taisho 14) is missing from Kaori's home.

They find out that Mitsuhei Nagai, Kaori's ex-boyfriend that two-timed her, and his fiancé Misato Taniguchi are going to be at Bell Tree Tower, and then realize her motive for going there is revenge. Kogoro, Conan, Ran, Sato, and Takagi all rush there to stop her. As a last ditch effort, Conan sends her a text message, hoping it would change her mind.

They arrive at the party and start looking for her, they spot someone that looks similar to her and chase after her thinking that she's Kaori, but Conan spots the real Kaori and follows her. Kaori walks up to the stage where her ex-boyfriend and fiancé are and seemingly starts pulling out the gun.

Conan figures out Kaori's real home phone number and calls it. He's surprised when Detective Sato begins talking to him on the phone and the group discovers that a gun, a Nambu Taisho 14, is missing from Kaori's home that morning.

Scenario: Professor Agasa takes the Detective Boys to see cherry blossoms. Conan informed Jodie Starling that Scar Akai is actually Bourbon in disguise. Professor Agasa told Conan that he have witnessed someone being hit repeatedly at the shrine grounds. After solving the case, Conan find it weird that the suspect Benzaki does not seem to recognise the victim despite seeing her twice. Benzaki’s pregnant wife Motoe appear and fall on Jodie Starling. Both Conan and Ai find it weird that Motoe appear to be 6 months pregnant but still having morning sickness.

Conan, Professor Agasa and the rest of the Detective Boys goes to a shrine ground to view Cherry blossom. There Conan meets up with Jodie to tell her that Scar Akai was Bourbon in disguise to test the FBI's reaction and find out if Akai is really dead. He futher tells her that Bourbon calls himself Tooru Amuro and works at Poirot under the detective agency. Conan is worried because he doesn't know why Bourbon is staying despite that his mission is complete and asks the FBI to investigate him. During their conversation, a man introduce as Tohei Benzaki butts in and asks Jodie if she is that foreign woman from the bank robber case, futher saying that his wife was the woman who tied her up. He says that he has seen the scarred man a few days ago, but can't remember where, because he had a cold.

Professor Agasa called Conan over the phone to tell him he'd witnessed someone being hit repeatedly on the shrine grounds.

Conan finds three black fem-yens placed near the victim's hand and recognize them as the signature act of Kurobee, a pickpocker known for leaving those three black coins in her victim's pockets, rumored to be a mocking thank you to the victims for earning money the pickpocker can steal. He goes through the victim's belongings and discovers that victim herself was Kurobee due to that she had a purse filled with black coins. He futher finds a GPS wrapped in bills. So likely Kurobee was killed by one of her own victims.

The Detective Boys finds four wallets that Kurobee had pickpock in order to identify her victims. Excluding Jodie, who has an alibi, since she stayed with Conan, there is left three suspects, Tohei Benzaki, Yoriko Danno and Shigemori Sakamaki. All three of them has three black five-yens on their possession, which is odd, since Conan thought that the ones left near the victim's body mean that the killer was left with none.

Scenario: Sonoko must go to a wedding representing her family, and since she doesn't want to go alone she ropes Conan and Ran into going with her. The groom is the eldest son and heir of the incredibly rich Hatakeyama family, and he's marrying a young woman named Miho. The wedding takes place in a very nice villa, and things go well at first until the end of the reception.

Two chefs run into the reception saying Masaru had collapsed. He is found lying dead on the ground due to a gunshot.

A second gunshot was heard after Masaru's body was discovered. Conan rushes off on the Turbo Engine Skateboard in the direction of the hotel past the river to Miho's room, but finds her dead on the bed.

Megure, Chiba and Takagi start investigating, and the darker than expected dynamics of the families start coming to the surface. There are three suspects in particular: Miho's brother and only relative Yoshifumi (who is knee-deep in debts and desperately needed to pay them off), Masaru's older sister Rikako (who had always resented him for being the leader of the family despite her being the eldest), and Masaru's cousin Arisa (who was in love with him and very jealous of Miho). In the meantime Conan starts snooping and asking around, getting hold of the info he needs to see which of the three is the killer.

As the trio tour the home with the actress, her three children, and the maid, they are surprised to witness consistent quarreling in the household with Misuzu Shirakawa being the unpleasant one. As the afternoon draws close, the actress retires to her bedroom for an afternoon nap, a car accident occurs outside, and then smoke emerges from the bedroom.

While everyone was outside helping get the car out of the pond, Misuzu's room caught fire.

Scenario: The police, Kogoro, Conan, Masumi, Terafumi, Toshihide, and Wataru are in the surveillance room, where they see Shoutoku enter the storeroom last night at 9:05. In the camera film, the next person that enters the room is the producer Toshihide Taruoka, who states he was checking to see if the chest arrived; after all, he is fully responsible if the its contents are leaked out. According to him, he was in that room for 30 minutes because he was searching for the chest. At 10:20, Wataru Furuya and two other AD's arrive in front of the storeroom. Wataru says he was in there for quite a while because he was smoking while checking his text messages after he quickly checked the chest. At 10:54, he came out of the room. After that, Terafumi Kasuga entered the storeroom and was in there for about half an hour to check the TV station's lock and take photos to show Shoutoku. He tells the police the chest was fully locked and so he went home after that. Nobody went in the storeroom the next day before the staff members took the chest, so those three people are the only ones that have a chance to commit the murder.

As the police continue investigating, Kogoro, Masumi, and Conan head back to the stage to try to solve the murder case; to do that, they need to figure out how the culprit even unlocked the chest in the first place. There are blood traces inside the chest, so Shoutoku was killed when the chest was open. The culprit is the one who opened it because the cuisine critic would not want anyone else besides Terafumi to know what is inside the chest. Kogoro wonders why there are so many apples in the chest when the contestants will not be using more than ten during the show. Sonoko and Ran come to the stage to tell them why. First of all, a full chest is visually appealing to the audience. Secondly, the extra fruits will be given to the gallery via lottery. In fact, the chest has a false bottom so that it will not be too heavy. The fruits inside the chest are rare, so many people apply to the gallery just to try to win those fruits. Kogoro tells them there is a bigger mystery than that: he wonders why Okino Yoko's hair, which was in her last live broadcast, suddenly became so long. Ran and Sonoko tell them it is because she used a hair extension; upon hearing this, Conan figures out who the culprit is.

Masumi figures out too, and when she asked Conan if their thinking the same thing, he sees her left canine tooth as she smiles, confirming to himself he has seen her before. As the officers prepare to take the chest to conduct a thorough inspection, Conan asks them if those are all the apples in the chest. Even though the chest was supposed to completely full, there is a huge gap in the middle of the apples; however, the officers answer yes. Conan and Masumi found the evidence they need and run out the gallery. As Ran sees Masumi dash away, she thinks of waves; somehow, she can hear the sound of small waves when she sees Masumi running from behind, as if a spell was activated on her.

Conan and Masumi arrive at the storage room and ask Detective Takagi if the police found anything in the storeroom. He tells them when the police came to inspect the room, an AD was scolded because a kitchen prop that was to be used for the show was not properly washed. They tell him to bring the police and the suspects here for their magic show, which in fact is them explaining the truth behind the murder.

Conan and Sera works together to solve the mystery.

Scenario: A murdered man found dead in the chest of fruits.

One night at Mouri Detective Agency, while Kogoro is reading about horse racing on a newspaper, Ran, Sonoko, and Conan are watching "Which Sweets Show", a television program where two chefs compete to see who makes better sweets. Today, the defending champion, Shuuhei Kurimura, wins again, making him the winner for six weeks in a row. Thanks to Sonoko's father's connections, Ran, Sonoko, and Conan can watch the preview from the show's gallery next week. Sonoko, who needs to invite five people, baits Kogoro, who she needs to escort them, to come as well, by stating Yoko Okino will be one of the judges for next week's program. She is stuck on the last person to invite, and Ran's mother, Eri, cannot come because she has work.

The next day after school, Ran, Sonoko, and Conan ask Masumi if she wants to come to watch the program. In reality, Conan wants to invite her because he has something to ask her. As they talk about the TV show on their way home, Conan tells the girls he thinks Shuuhei is suspicious, since the champion always brought ingredients that suited the fruits chosen for the show. However, Ran and Sonoko tell him there is no way that pâtissier can cheat since the chest is always locked up before the show starts. Only the expert who packs the fruits in knows what is inside, so the TV staff has no chance to peek into it.

On the night before the show, Shoutoku Takeki arrives at Terafumi Kasuga's house. Terafumi tells Shoutoku the he already filled the chest up with the fruits that are to be used tomorrow. Shoutoku inspects the lock on the chest, is convinced it is secure, and made sure no one saw Terafumi fill the chest. At Nichiuri TV studio, the chest has arrived, so Toshihide Taruoka tells Wataru Furuya to lock that chest up and send it back to Shoutoku.

The day of the "Which Sweets Show" has arrived. Ran, Sonoko, Conan, Kogoro, and Masumi are already seated when suddenly Wataru Furuya asks Kogoro to go to the backstage. The recording of the TV show begins, and it turns out Yoko Okino and Kogoro Mouri, who is replacing Shoutoku Takeki because he is missing, are going to be the judges for this week's program. The contestants this week are Shuuhei Kurimara and Kurea Enokido. After Toshihide opens the lock of the chest of the key, the MC, Osamu Kenzaki, opens it to reveal the fruits. Ran tells Masumi, who thinks the lock can be forced open by anyone, that the lock has an electronic chip embedded, so a buzzer will ring if the wrong key is put in. Also, the lock is custom-made and the key to the lock is difficult to duplicate. Conan is about to quietly ask Masumi a question when suddenly the audience begins freaking out. The two of them are interrupted and they turn their heads toward the chest, only to see Shoutoku Takeki lying inside a pile of apples!

Conan and Masumi rush down from their seats to inspect the body. Shoutoku is already dead for more than half a day. After the audience is escorted to a separate room, the police come to investigate. Detective Takagi asks Producer Taruoka about chest-locking process, which was devised by Shoutoku Takeki himself. First, Terafumi Kasuga secretly fills the chest with fruits and locks it up. After that, the chest is sent to Nichiuri TV, where the producer asks his AD, Wataru Furuya, to put another lock on the chest before delivering it back to Terafumi. The food coordinator unlocks his own lock and then sends the chest back to the TV station. At the beginning of the show, the MC receives the key, which is stored in a safe at Touto Bank before the show, from the producer, and the fruits inside the chest is revealed to the contestants and the audience. As the police investigate, Terafumi arrives as well. The food coordinator is at Nichiuri TV because Shoutoku called him here, stating he will catch and expose the culprit who secretly reveals the contents of the fruit chest during the show. Shoutoku is probably doing this because the defending champion of the show won for six weeks in a row.

Suddenly, Detective Chiba tells everyone that Shoutoku Takeki mixed in with the extras of yesterday night's historical play and snuck into the TV station. Blending in was easy, since he always wore a kimono and the extras did too. Apparently he asked the play's director, an acquaintance of his, to lower his enemies' guard. This means he hid in the room where the chest was stored but got ambushed by the culprit.

Scenario: Conan, Ran, and Kogoro come across Nana lying on the ground in the park after nearly driving into a scooter blocking the road. On a dark night, the Mouri family, including Conan, were in Kogoro's car and heading home when they come across a scooter parked in the lane blocking the road. They investigate and find Nana's corpse lying on the park's ground with a rope around her neck.

Nana left behind a dying message that resembles the top part of the kanji for "left" (左) or "right" (右).

Scenario: Conan sends the cat with the message on the taxi receipt, but it gets blown away before Amuro can intercept it, but he chases after it and decodes it. Meanwhile, since there has been no help for quite long, Conan, deduceing that the final stop is Agasa's house, makes modifications on the receiver's address so that it reaches the Kudo house. Subaru interprets this and sends back another parcel with a phone in it via the delivery men. Before Conan can call the police, the delivery men catch them. By them, Amuro catches up and stops the delivery men from hurting the kids. But he denies having interpreted the message and says the receipt was blown away. He also declines when the kids invite him to Agase's house.

Although the Detective Boys have not been discovered by the delivery men, the cold begins to affect them, as Mitsuhiko even collapses from giving his sweater to Haibara. Conan uses a receipt to write a message and releases Taii from the truck with it stuck in its collar, hoping that Bourbon will find it and realize what is going on.

Scenario: As Conan, Haibara and The Detective Boys are playing football, they meet a cat which makes rounds around the Beika area. Following it, they get locked up in a delivery truck, within which they find a dead body. The delivery men talk about how it was an accidental death and they are making rounds and getting people to notice them to make up an alibi. As the kids realise that they cannot ask for help directly, Conan comes up with an idea.

Conan and the Detective Boys are playing soccer when they meet the calico cat, Taii, who frequently comes to Café Poirot for food. They follow the cat into a refrigerated delivery truck where the kids stumble on to a body in a box. The drivers killed the man and are doing their route to establish an alibi as the cold will alter the time of death.

Conan and the Detective Boys see a dead man in one of the Boxes of the refrigerated delivery truck and are stuck inside since the deliverymen closed the door.

Scenario: Conan overhears the police talking to Kogoro about the thief's next call. He is suddenly joined by Haibara and The Detective Boys and Inoue. They start searching for Justin and the culprit. After tracking him down, they make him lose the stuffed toy by spilling more similar toys and the police manage to catch him when he tries to take the money. He turns out to be Kouda. Ayumi manages to find the toy with the usb and when Inoue tries to take it, Haibara stops him. Sleeping Kogoro tells them all that it was actually Inoue who stole the secret data.

Scenario: Conan, Ran, The Detective Boys, Haibara and Kogoro go on a trip to Mt. Aso. They meet a boy called Justin and his mother there. Justin shows them his stamp collection book, where he has stamps from all the tourist attractions at Mt Aso. They later part. While they are on a break, we see a man leaving behind a bag on a bench, and another man picks it up and leaves behind a stuff toy. Ayumi tries to return the toy but is pushed away by the man. He is chased by the police and Conan. They see the man dashes into Justin, who is carrying a similar toy and the toys get exchanged. Everyone returns and we find that the man who left the bag is Monkichi Kumada, who owns Kumamon Foods. He says a thief stole important details regarding new sweet tastes which are un-patented and demanded 10 million. Another detective calls, Kouda, and informs them that the thief is caught but there was nothing in the stuffed toy. Conan explains that the toys got exchanged and tracks down Justin's location. As they are nearing Justin, they see the thief trying to snatch the toy from Justin's mother, and while trying to protect her, Justin is kidnapped by the thief. He threatens the police with Justin's life to not to follow him. Conan wonders how the thief got Justin's location so fast, when the only people, other than the original gang, present were the detectives, the president and another worker, Inoue.

In a dark room, a thief is frantically looking through an office for something. When he finds it, he smiles and cuts open a teddy bear.

The next day, the Detective Boys go to Kumamoto with Ran and Kogoro for a sightseeing trip. Kumamoto is known as the capital of water for its amazing water sources, but it's also known as the country of fire for its volcanoes. The group arrives at the Aso Volcano museum, where Ran bumps into a boy, named Justin Takamori. Ran calls Justin cute, and Justin calls Ran even cuter and winks at her. He then adds tat she is in second place as his mommy, Jessica Takamori is in first place. Justin then shows the kids his stamp book of all the tourists spots he has already been to so far.

Conan and the rest then go to the Aso Ropeway Station and ride in a carrier to the Nakadake crater. Once they are done, they leave the area and as they are heading to the zoo, Ayumi spots Kumamon, a stuffed bear, and wants to get one as a souvenir. Ran says later and as they leave with Conan, Justin and his mom buy the same stuff bear. After visiting the zoo, the group go to a food court area and eat. As they eat, a man, soon to be revealed as Monkichi Kumada, puts a bag on a bench and leaves. Then a mysterious man walks up with a Kumamon bear and swaps it with the bag. Ayumi sees this and believes that the man has forgotten the bear. So she runs to the man and tries to give it back, blowing the whole investigation that was taking place. The man sees the police and throws the bag at Ayumi, taking the bear as he runs.

Conan chases after the man with the police and witnesses Justin stepping in front of his mom and colliding with the man, causing the bear to fall. The man picks up a bear and runs away as the police chase after him. At the police station, Monkichi Kumada, the creator of the Kumamon bear explains that a robbery had occurred in his office and that an important item was taken away, a flash drive full of important information. He then tells Mouri that the thief phoned him and told him that he will exchange the flash drive with 10 million yen at the park. Then Keiji Kosugi is phoned and is told that the culprit at the park had been caught, but the flash drive have not been found. Conan then realizes that the bears must have been switched when Justin and the man collided with each other and deduces that they can find Justin at places where he can get stamps and figures out where he would not be and where his next location would be.

Namie Kajiyama, and the group then heads to Aso Shrine, not able to find Justin, but learns where his next location may be. According to the tour guide at the shrine, Justin said "I want to go and see the big pig falling asleep." Namie believes that Justin may be going to the Aso Milk Farm, but Conan deduces that he will not be there. He looks at Justin's route and says that he is actually going up and that by going to the farm he will be making a U-Turn. Also if he were to go to the farm, Justin will not arrive there in time as the farm closes at 4 P.M and that it is now 3:40. Conan deduces that Justin is at Daikanbo, as he did not say "the big pig", but actually "the big Buddha". The English word Buddha rhymes with the word in Japanese for pig (豚 buta), while the actual word in Japanese for Buddha is hotoke/futsu (仏). Namie trusts Conan and heads over there with him. When they arrive they witness the thief trying to take the bear away from Jessica. When Justin sees this he runs over and bites the criminal. Mouri and the rest try to intervene, but the thief kidnaps Justin and drove away.

Conan, Ran, Kogoro. and the Detective Boys were looking at different tourist area for a half-Japanese kid name Justin, who apparently took a piece of evidence when the thief accomplice bumped into him. When the thief try to take back the item, Justin interfered and got kidnapped, and is now being held as a hostage.

As the police with the Detective Boys, Ran and Mouri chase the criminal, they received a call that says that if they continue the boy will be killed. Thus prompting the police to stop and Conan to wonder "How did the criminal know Justin had the flash drive and where to find him?" and if someone is working with the thief. If so, who?
