Episode 868: The Whistling Bookstore

Scenario: Conan, Haibara, Genta, Mitsuhiko and Ayumi helped Tamaki Yujiro, to bring the books he bought to his bookstore and as a goodwill, he offered to give them books for free. Tamaki Ichiro came to the store and argued with his father about his run down business as it does not bring them profit, due to frustration, he knocked down one of the old bookshelf. The kids went back to the bookstore and noticed that it is closed for the past two days, so they went to the park and waited for the steam engine to move at 3PM. When they passed by the bookstore, they saw the unconscious owner under the fallen bookshelves. Fortunately, Yujiro was doing fine at the hospital and he told the kids that he decided to close the bookstore. The detective kids went back to the park and saw Ichiko looking for something beside the engine. Conan revealed that it was Ichiko who caused the accident at the bookstore by connecting a thread from the engine to the bookshelves so it will fall the moment the engine started at 3PM. Ichiko told the kids that he did it to stop his father from working and later turned himself to the police. Before the episode end, the old bookstore became a book café which was decided by Yujiro, Ichiko and his girlfriend.

Conan and the others help an old bookseller with books he was unable to carry. While at the store, he's seen arguing with his son over getting new books they don't need. While in the park next door, a stack of books falls over and hurts the owner!
